Charles Holt

HOLT, CHARLES LEWIS - On April 15, 2014, Charles L. Holt, of Magundy, NB, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born October 28, 1941, in Rosborough Settlement, NB to the late Edmund and Annie (Cleghorn, Holt, Miller). Charles is survived by his wife, Edith (Robison) Holt, two children, Martin (Cindy) and Catherine; three grandchildren, Samantha (Mike Landry), Whitney (Mike Arseneault) and Nicholas (Catherine Brawn); four great-grandchildren, Lora and Emma Landry, Savannah Fudge and Brysen Holt; two sisters, Alice Cleghorn and Shirley Miller (Everett); two brothers, Cecil (Gaylia) and Edmund Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Eveleen Holt and Monica Seamone; three brothers-in-law, David Robison (Anne), Douglas Robison (Norma) and John Robison (Brenda); best friends, Jim and Rose Marie Jackson and Gilbert Graham and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by sisters, Joeleen Hagerman (late Norman) and Mary Johnston (late Aulden), brothers Hazen and Raymond and a brother-in-law, Russell Cleghorn.
At Charles' request there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are invited to a drop in gathering at his home, 1398 Route 635 in Magundy, NB, on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Charles, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society to further research in finding a cure for leukemia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cards will be available on Saturday at his home. The family would like to thank the nurses of 6600 Oncology Unit at the Moncton Hospital, Dr. Ian MacDonald, Dr, Deborah Gowan, Dr. Adam Fowler and nurses of 3E Palliative Care at the DECH.
