Jordyn Johnson, 2 of Eskasoni/Chapel Island, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the IWK Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Charles Johnson and Rayn Doucette-MacNeil.
She was a member of Holy Family and Immaculate Conception parishes. Baby Jordyn was an exceptional child well beyond her years, who was known as ‘The Queen’ by all her friends and family. Throughout her short life she managed to smile in the difficult times and bring happiness to those who loved her.
She is survived by a brother Aaron Johnson, Eskasoni; her paternal grandparents Arthur and Marcia Johnson and maternal grandparents Iris Doucette and Raymond MacNeil; her godparents, several aunts and uncles and extended family and especially her great grandparents Louise and Andrew Johnson.
Visitation will begin for one day in Chapel Island on Tuesday after 4 p.m. at the chapel and resume the following day on Wednesday at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni after 3 p.m. Funeral mass will celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
