YERXA, ARDEN L. - The passing of Arden L. Yerxa of Mactaquac, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was 68. Born in Mactaquac, NB, he was a son of the late Chester Samuel and Lida (Brewer) Yerxa. Arden enjoyed fishing, biking and walking. Arden is survived by two brothers; Wayne Yerxa of Scotch Lake, NB, Phillip Yerxa of Mactaquac, NB, three sisters Ruth Hill (Fergus) of Calgary, AB, Connie LeBreton (George) of Rusagonis, NB and Gertrude McKeen of Fredericton, NB, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Lida (Brewer) Yerxa; five brothers Gerald, Russell, Royden, Dale and Harold Yerxa; two sisters Marjorie Thornton and Greta McLaughlin.
Resting at the Mactaquac Baptist Church on Friday, April 25th, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral service will be held from the church on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made in Arden’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
