MELANSON, RONALD - Ronald Melanson of Dieppe, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on April 22, 2014 at the age of 64, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Edgar and Yvonne Melanson. Ronald will be missed by his loving wife of 22 years, Denise, brother Raymond, sisters Gert (Clovis) LeBlanc, Anne (Nicole), many nieces and nephews and by Fibi his feline companion. Ronald worked as a Correctional Officer at the Dorchester Penitentiary for over twenty five years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time at his lot in Portage Vale.
As per Ronald’s wishes there will be no visitation, a funeral Mass will be held at the Ste-Therese–de- l’Enfant- Jesus Church in Dieppe on Friday, April 25 at 2:00pm. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
