WATERSTON, RUTH - The death of Miriam “Ruth” Waterston, of Penobsquis, NB, age 88, occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, on Thursday, April 24, 2014. She was the wife of the late Frank Waterston. She was born on October 5, 1925, in Sussex, NB, the daughter of the late Melbourne and Myrtle (McEwen) Aiton. Ruth is survived by her son Frank Waterston and his wife Anna of Penobsquis, NB; daughter-in-law Linda Waterston of Dutch Valley, NB; granddaughters Terri-Lynn MacDonald and her husband Scott of Searsville, NB, Leanne Waterston, Christine Waterston; special family friend Sheldon and Kim Moore of Penobsquis, NB; sister Margaret Mercer and her husband Carl; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son James Waterston; sister Melva Hornbrook; brothers Melbourne, Ainsley and Arthur.
She is resting at St. Paul’s United Church, 4 Morrison Ave, Sussex, NB, with visiting on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00pm, funeral service, conducted by Rev. Scott Hillier, will begin at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Pioneer Cemetery, Penobsquis, NB. Donations to the Alzheimer Society, Kiwanis Nursing Home or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
