BOLDON, JOAN - It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Sarah (Reynolds) Boldon, of Oromocto, NB announces her passing, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 29, 2014. Joan passed away peacefully with her husband of 60 years George at her side. Born in Lower Hainesville, NB on June 27, 1931, she was the daughter of late Allison and Violet (Moore) Reynolds. Joan devoted her life to her family providing a loving home for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed a good game of 45’s, a nice drive through the country and time with family and friends on the Miramichi. Joan is survived by her husband George; their sons Rex (Louise) of Charters Settlement, Eric (Colleen) of Fredericton, Philip (Janine) of Calgary and Mark (Tanya) of Fredericton; grandchildren Ryley (Mallory), Fraser, John, Shannon, Darryl, Nick, Maryn, Brett and Annik; sister Charlotte Lantz (Brodie); sisters-in-law Jet, Dot and Janet Reynolds; brothers-in-law Tom Boldon (Freda), Royden Blizzard and Mush Mersereau; sisters-in-law Jeannie McLachlan (Dennis), Mary Ellen Mayo, Emily Ruth Mullins (Bob), Lois, Millie, Katherine and Jackie Boldon; and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by brothers Edward, Phillip and John Reynolds; sisters Dot Scott (Earl) and Betty Leachman (Red); brothers-in-law Jim and Gordon Boldon and Bernie Callaghan; and sisters-in-law Hannah Callaghan, Margaret Ann Mersereau and Nancy Blizzard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, at the Oromocto Funeral Home at 108 Winnebago Street from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2, at the Chapel at the Oromocto Funeral Home at 11 AM with Father John Carten officiating. Interment will be at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery on Woodstock Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.
