Earle Bourgeois

Earle passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Union Hospital in Moose Jaw. He was predeceased by his father Roy. Survived by Carolyn wife of 12 years, his mother Blanche, sister Janelle (Jim), loving father of Lana (Joe), Tania (Vern), Shanyn (Jason), and father figure to Damara, Chrissy (Jason), Jodi (Dwayne) and Mary (Tyson), cherished grandfather of 13. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Earle was born in Richmond, BC on August 12, 1946 to Roy and Blanche Bourgeois. As a military family they lived in several places in Canada and Europe. As a young man he followed in his father’s footsteps. He joined the military becoming a corporal working in meteorology and later as a supply technician with the Snowbirds. He retired in 1995 after 29 years of faithful service and was happy to stay in Moose Jaw. During retirement he became very focused on breeding and raising papillon dogs. He enjoyed many years of dog shows, winning several awards and the respect of many in the industry. A Memorial Tea will be held in Earle’s memory at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 140 Fleury St, Regina, SK, S4N 5B1, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK,S7K 28H, would be appreciated.
