Glendon Tapley

TAPLEY, GLENDON “GLEN” ROY - Glendon “Glen” Roy Tapley of Prince William NB, passed away on May 3rd 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Glen was born in Prince William on June 2, 1935 to the late Roy and Arvilla (Niles) Tapley. Glen was a member of the Riverside United Church and served as a trustee of the church. He was employed at Kings Landing for 29 years. Next to his family, his greatest enjoyment came from the hours spent in his workshop. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Doris G. (Lockhard) Tapley, their family; Ellen (John Scoville) of Prince William, Daryl (Pauline) of Upper Kingsclear, Floyd (Julie) of Mazerolle Settlement, five grandchildren; John, David, Rachel, Ryan and Sarah;, his sisters; Myrna Sloat (Ken) of Prince William and their family; Melanie Sloat, Monica, Greg, Alex and Matthew LeBlanc, his in-laws, Ruth and Bob, Nancy, Helen, Irene and Blair, Helena and Ken, Maxine and Clair as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parent’s Glen was predeceased by an infant daughter, Anna Marie and an infant brother Kenneth David Tapley, two brothers-in-law Lloyd Lockhard and Marven MacMullin
The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 2:00 PM from the Riverside United Church, 6682 RTE 102, Prince William, followed by a reception in the seniors hall. Interment in the Prince William Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Riverside United Church or the Prince William Cemetery fund.
