HARRIS, Annie Etta, age 100, Welshtown, passed away in Roseway Hospital on Saturday May 3, 2014. Born in Jordan Ferry, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Alma (Firth) MacLean. Annie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was devoted to her Community and was very involved with the Shelburne County Exhibition for over 50 years, a Founding Member of the Upper Clyde Social Club, a long-time member of the Shelburne and Area Women’s Liberal Association as well as numerous other organizations. In her early years, she was a teacher and postmaster in the Upper Clyde School House. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross. Annie is survived by her son, Lloyd; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clinton; daughter, Ethel; great grandson, Adam, son-in-law Jerry and nine brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6 from 7-9 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Shelburne where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Burial in Lower Ohio Cemetery. Family flowers only.
