BUBAR, DONALD “DON” HAYWARD - It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Hayward Bubar of Penniac, on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Don was born in Fredericton, on May 11, 1963 to the late Walter and Inez (Stewart) Bubar. From the time Don graduated from Fredericton High School he has worked as a Cook. He loved to cook and worked at numerous Restaurants up until the last four years. He loved to make his famous Donnie Burgers that you could not resist. Don loved woodworking, was a devoted Dale Jr. fan and always looked forward to getting together with his friends for Pot Luck on Nascar Race day. They always wanted his lasagna big hit. Don loved family gatherings, and will be greatly missed by the gang, especially “his Best Friend” Tom Taylor. He is survived by two sisters Kim (Randy Clark) of Penniac, Rozelle (Vince LeLond) of Cody’s; nieces and nephews Jodi (Ian Dykeman), Tina (John Morehouse), Dana Dorcas; three great-nephews Hayden Dykeman (Buddy), Logan Morehouse and Mackenzie Dorcas; two great-nieces Harper Dykeman and Shelby Dorcas; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive visitors at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, with a Funeral service to follow, Rev. Murray McFarlane will officiate. Interment will be at the Penniac United Cemetery, with a reception following the burial at the Penniac Rec. Center. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
