Passed away suddenly in Pond Cove on the April 28, 2014, Mr. George Toope in his 63rd year. Left behind with heavy hearts are Sybil, Mack (Shirley), Vicki (Cleon), Shannon (Krystle), Brandon (Jenine), Josh, Jorja, and Jaxon. They will keep him in their hearts forever. Though he was a young man, George lived to see the passing of his parents Oliver and Deborah Toope. Visitation was held at The Church of the Advent in Plum Point from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Burial followed the service in the community cemetery at Darby's Island. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
