JEWETT, JOSHUA DAVID - It is with very deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Jewett of Fredericton, NB. Josh was 31 years old and died on April 28, 2014. He was the son of Margaret and the late Gary Jewett. Josh loved the outdoors, skateboarding, fishing, taekwondo and playing chess. He traveled as far as India and backpacked through Canada and the United States as far as Mexico. Josh loved special meals and holidays at his sister Roxanne’s house. He enjoyed his job at the YMCA and Aura Foods. Josh was a gentle soul with a kind heart. He was helpful to his mom when she was sick and so kind to others. Josh played many musical instruments and was a talented writer.
In addition to his mother, Margaret Jewett of Yarmouth, NS, Josh is survived by his sisters, Roxanne (husband Bob Manuel) of Fredericton, NB and April (husband Mark Bragg) of Calgary, AB.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Special thanks to Sue Madigan and Ralph Miles of Aura Foods for their special friendship and Angela Ramsay and Robbie Cameron of Southside Special Needs Home for their caring hearts. To all those that have been there for Josh along the way, his friends, case workers, doctors and 2SE Psychiatry we thank you.
