Passed peacefully away at his home in Kelligrews surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 10, 2014, age 73 yrs. An Honorary Lifetime Member of the CBS Fire Department as well as founding member of the CLB Old Comrades. Presented the Lions Club Citizen of the Year Award, the Medal for Bravery by the Lieutenant Governor and inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame - Builder. Leaving to mourn his wife of 51 years Lillian, his children Wendy, Hope (Greg King), Perry (Cathy), Owen (Tracy), grandchildren Kelsey Howse (Jeremy Hefford), Colby Taylor and Joshua and Austin Taylor, brothers Eric (Edith), Calvin (Nina), sisters Zita Butler and Sandra Tilley (Frank), sisters-in-law Jeanette Taylor, Nina Butler and Linda Greeley. Also, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Sunday 2 - 9 pm, Monday 10 - 9 pm, Tuesday 10 - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2 pm in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn's Hill Road, Foxtrap. No flowers by request, donations may be made to All Saints Restoration Fund or Canadian Diabetes Association.
