Passed away suddenly in Tors Cove on May 7, 2014 Aiden Joseph Mackey, District Deputy, Knights of Columbus, age 77 years. Predeceased by his wife Molly, son Aiden, parents Patrick and Ellen, and brother Dermot. Leaving to celebrate his life are daughters Linda (Pat Rossiter), Glenda (Barry O'Neill), and Tracey (Jeff Nelson); sons Kenneth and Stan (Peg); and 4 cherished grandchildren Stephen, Evan, Aideen, and Brady. Also Brothers Stan, Pat, and Raymond; members of the Duggan family; close friend Emmie Luby and her family; and many other relatives, friends, and Knights of Columbus colleagues. Cremation has taken place at Aiden's request. Visitation at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls on Saturday and Sunday, May10th and 11th, 2 - 9 pm. With mass of Christian Burial from St. Patrick's RC Church, Witless Bay Monday May 12th at 10:30 am. Inurnment to follow at Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, Tors Cove. Since Aiden loved his garden, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Aiden had a presence in Tors Cove and the surrounding communities and on the various organizations in which he was involved. He touched many hearts and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
