POTHIER, Elizabeth Anne “Betty” – 93, Upper Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born November 3, 1920 in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Sylvain and Madelaine (Pothier) Pothier. Betty was a homemaker and she enjoyed bingo and playing cards. She is survived by three sons, Richard (Sharon) Pothier, Milton (Cecile) Pothier, both of Upper Wedgeport; Gerald (Bonnie) Pothier, South Ohio; grandchildren, Jeffery, Heather, Scott, David, Jennifer and Mary; great grandchildren, Lila, Claire and Monique, as well as by a sister-in-law, Christine Pothier, Villa Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Laurie J. Pothier, as well as by a son, Patrick; sisters, Kate Boudreau, Lillian Pothier, Yvonne Hemeon, Emma Babin; brothers, Eloi Pothier and René Pothier. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 16 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
