Isabel Russell Knox passed away May 14, 2014 at Pioneers Lodge in Moose Jaw, after a brave battle with cancer. Isabel was predeceased by her mother Sarah and father Thomas Skivington, father-in-law Enoch and mother-in-law Louise Knox. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ray, sons Gerald (Kathy) and Ron (Wanda), her grandchildren Courtney, Adam, Reid, Veronica, Riley, Connor, Duncan and Drew, as well as many friends. She was baptized Isabel Russell Skivington at Springburn Church in Scotland on September 15, 1930. In 1957 she immigrated to Canada and stayed briefly in Yorkton before moving to Moose Jaw where she met Ray. Ray and Isabel were married in October 1958. They raised two sons on the family farm near Tuxford. Isabel cherished family and loved people, investing in their lives through church, service to the elderly, and many a kind word to strangers. Isabel loved music, travel, knitting and many other crafts. The magnificent care Isabel received by Dr. Brown and the staff at his office, Moose Jaw Union Hospital, the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina, and Pioneers Lodge is greatly appreciated. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3 or MS Society of Canada, 150 Albert St, Regina, SK, S4R 2N2. At Parkview Funeral Chapel, anyone wishing to pay their last respects may do so Friday, May 16, 2014 between the hours of 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and all are welcome to a Celebration of Isabel’s Life on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Blair & Kelly Scott, Funeral Directors.
