~~~STEEDSMAN~~~
William John Steedsman was born December 11, 1929 to Archie and Shirley Steedsman in Foam Lake SK. He was from a family of 11 children and the last surviving member of his family. Bill left this world May 16, 2014 at the age of 84. Bill is now reunited with his family, his parents Archie and Shirley his siblings Mildred, Jessie, Norman, Norma, Winnie, Ethel, Lloyd, Leslie, Esther and Art and his wife Mary.
As a young man Bill worked for local farmers and road construction before moving to PA where he drove cab for many years and worked for a local mover. Bill was a lover of the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish and in his later years loved to tell stories of his hunting escapades. Bill spent most of his adult life in Prince Albert then retired to BC with Lois where they spent many happy years. They moved back to Saskatchewan to be closer to family. Due to failing health Bill resided at Parkland Place in Melfort at the time of his passing where he always had a smile for everyone. Bill was a quiet gentle man who would help anyone who needed it. Bill wished to leave life as he lived it so there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Bill leaves to mourn his passing 3 daughters Debbie (Brian), Karen and Janice and 6 grandchildren, his loving companion Lois, her 4 daughters and their families and many nieces and nephews.
Bill’s family would like to thank the staff at Parkland Place for the compassionate care they gave Bill in his final years.
Bill we loved you in life now we love our memories of you. You are missed.
