Passed away peacefully at PRHC on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Mary Bateman. Cherished son of Joyce Braye and stepfather Jack Braye. Loving father of Bill Gillam (Carole), Todd Gillam, predeceased infant daughter Denoldia, and stepfather of Bradley Bateman (Kelly), and Brent Bateman (Merisa). Dear brother of Lynn Braye (Sara). Proud grandfather of Josh Gillam (Holly), Mitch Gillam (Jen), Lauren Gillam, Matthew Gillam, Alex Gillis, Ryan Bateman, Colin Bateman, Madison Bateman and Benjamin Bateman (Poppa’s Boy). Sadly missed by many friends and relatives in Newfoundland, his former father-in-law William Thomas Farrell “Pop”, former wife Marilyn Gillam, sister-in-law Cathy Granlund, brother-in-law William Farrell (Marlene) and his nephews: Keith Granlund (Candice) and Troy Farrell (Jennifer). The family will receive friends at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Friday, May 23rd from 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at ST.
