Nancy Dale MacLennan , 67 of New Glasgow passed away May 20, 2014 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Norman and Vera(Gratto)Davidson.
Nancy was a resident of MacLellan’s Brook and Pine Street in New Glasgow for most of her life.
She owned and operated her own Trucking business, “Silver Lady” for a number of years, as well as working at the Glen Haven Manor for a short time.
In her younger years, Nancy enjoyed animals, especially her pug “eetee”.
She is survived by her husband Hector Priest, New Glasgow; a daughter Angela(Paul)Fraser, Fall River; sons, Charles “Cary”, MacLellan’s Brook; David(Yung Mi), South Korea; Sheldon(Shelley), Pinevale, Antigonish co.; 5 grandchildren sisters, Joanne(Edgar)MacDonald, Plymouth; Shirley Ross, Hamilton; a brother, Larry Davidson, Hamilton.
She was predeceased by brothers Donald, Deedee, Norman Allan Jr., Dennis and Allan in infancy, sisters Audrey George, Sakey Robertson, Diddles Smith, and Lamey Gillis.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 6-9pm Thursday at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where a memorial service will be held 11am Friday with Rev. Charles MacPherson presiding. A reception will follow in the funeral home with burial of ashes to take place in the Brookside Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
At this time the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and staff of the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the Pictou County Von for the wonderful care shown towards Nancy during her sickness.
