GRAY, LEONARD - Leonard Clifford Gray of Saint John passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014. Born in Sussex, NB, on February 25th, 1929, he was the son of the late Allan and Violet (Tabor) Gray. Len retired from Simonds Saw Co. as Branch Manager for the Atlantic Provinces. He was a member of Courtney Bay Orange Lodge # 8, serving as Past Treasurer for many years. He bowled with the Monday Afternoon Seniors League and enjoyed the horses and cribbage. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary (MacFawn), children, Paul Gray (Judy), Betty Rooney (Dan), cherished grandchildren, Crystal McCoy (Michael), Christine Shannon (Stephen), Jeffrey Rooney (Lisa), Angela Morrison (Jeff) and three great-grandchildren, Alexander and Hudson McCoy and Sam Shannon. Also survived by his sister Dorothy Binion of Vancouver and many nieces and nephews. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a sister Marion Sherwood and brothers; Everett, Clinton, Murray, and Garnett.
Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, on Thursday, May 22nd, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Castle “Fallsview Chapel” on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 with Pastor Andrew Morse presiding. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
