Marian Cameron

Passed on: May 21st, 2014

Marian June Cameron
June 17, 1926 (Kindersley, SK) - May 21, 2014 (Moose Jaw, SK)
Into the dawn of a peaceful May morning, the kind, gentle and loving soul, Marian Cameron, passed, leaving a legacy of caring, compassion and unassuming loyalty. Blessed in her legacy are her beloved niece, Judy Davies (nee Beiswanger), Judy's husband, Phil Davies, and their three children, Marian's great-nieces and great-nephew, Andrea (Darren) Engels (nee Davies), Shannon Davies, and Kevin Davies. With quiet joy, Marian also relished the opportunity to witness the ever-vibrant antics of her great-great-nieces, Olivia and Gabrielle Engels. To her many lifelong friends, Marian was also family, and a great companion to boot, be it on the golf course, at the card table, or while travelling. With nary a bad word to say about anyone, Marian dedicated her professional life to the care of others, much as she did her personal life. As a Registered Nurse at Union Hospital (Moose Jaw), Marian's contribution to a culture of compassion was well represented by the staff who cared for her, in the same facility, in her recent final days. Predeceased by her siblings: Elizabeth Beiswanger (nee Cameron) and Tom Cameron; and her parents Lochlan and Marie Cameron, we find peace in the knowledge that Marian has moved on to join her dear family in a place as kind and gentle as she. The Service of Remembrance will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St.E., on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. The Service will be officiated by Rev. Doug Hallman; interment will take place at the family plot in Madison, Sask., following the Service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. In living memory of Marian, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
