Morris Langille

Morris Gordon Langille, 90 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow and formerly of Dufferin St, Pictou, passed away peacefully May 24, 2014 in the Manor.
Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late Clifford and Beatrice (Langille) Langille.
Morris was an active member of the Odd Fellows for many years, and was well known for his flowers which he sold out of a greenhouse on his property, and worked at the Pictou Advocate for over 30 years. He loved horse races and attended these faithfully in Truro, even after losing his sight, with the generous help of a few close friends. His cheerful personality won him many friends around Pictou and he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Morris is survived by daughters, Maureen Culhane, Ontario; Kathy Russell, Dartmouth; son, Bruce, Edmonton; grandchildren: Sarah, Tim, Parnell, Kara and Kirk; great-grandchildren: Kalli, Ethan and Quinn.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will take place 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Pictou with Jacquie Ross officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in his memory may be made to the CNIB.
