It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom Eileen Audrey Pickles age 90 of Amherst in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill on Monday, May 26, 2014.
Born December 9, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Creighton and Margaret (Comeau) Welch.
Eileen is survived by sons Wesley (Tena) of Halifax and Creighton (Dorothy) of Springhill, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Deloris “Bobbie” McCarthy of Toronto and Shirley Troop of Amherst and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas, sons William Grady and Gerald Pickles and a daughter in infancy.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst.
Interment will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery.
