MAYER, CECILE - 1924 - 2014 - Cecile Mayer, 89, of Dieppe, formerly of Allison Drive, Moncton, NB passed away on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rodolphe and the late Nelida (née: Leger) LeBlanc.
Mrs. Mayer was a member of the Moncton Curling Club and the Saint-Anselme parish. She is survived by one son, Ronald of Buffalo, NY; one sister, Rosemonde Edgett-Maillet of Shediac; one brother, Alcide LeBlanc of Wales Mass.; three grandchildren: Kayleigh, Ethan and Zander, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Evans Mayer in 1968; five sisters: Rita, Jeanne, Carmella, Germaine and Therese and also by three brothers: Clement, Louis and Jean.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church, in August. Completed arrangements to be published later. Interment at the parish cemetery, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB. Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital “Oncology” would be appreciated by the family.
