Clarence Gilmore

GILMORE, CLARENCE CHARLES - The death of Clarence C. Gilmore formerly of Penniac, NB occurred at the Thomas Hall, Shannex on Saturday May 31, 2014 at the age of 92. Born in Penniac, NB, he was the son of the late Esli and Ethel (Whitlock) Gilmore, and was predeceased by his 1st wife Doreen (Arbeau) as well as his 2nd wife Della (Saunders). Clarence was a Sign Painter for the Department of National Defence and for UNB from where he retired. He served overseas during WWII in England. Clarence is the last surviving member of his immediate family and leaves to mourn his daughter Gail Abdow (Ron) of Gagetown, NB; numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, step-grea-grandchildren, step-nieces and step-nephews. Predeceased by a sister Mabel Zimmerman, and two brothers George and James Gilmore.
The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday June 4, 2014 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Mr. Frank Best officiating. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute will be held at the beginning of the service. Interment will be in the Penniac United Cemetery. A reception will be at the Penniac Rec Center following the burial.
