It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Deborah Anne Capstick, 61, on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Northside General Hospital.
Deborah was born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys (Jesso) Parks.
Deborah is survived by her daughters Tanya Capstick (Ryan), Little Pond, Kathleen (Rob) Gates, Alberta, Shirley Parks, Ontario, her son Gardiner Capstick, North Sydney, her sisters Susan (Michael) Boutilier, Sheila Capstick and Patsy Parks, all of North Sydney, her brothers Bill (Juanita) Parks, Middle River, Hughie (Judy) Parks, Florence. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband Gardiner Capstick, her brothers Joseph Parks and Ernest Parks Jr. also by a brother-in-law Murdock Capstick.
Visitation for Deborah will be held 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
