Keith Foster Keddy - 75, of Sheffield Mills, Kings County, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville he was the son of the late Foster and Jean (Keating) Keddy. He grew up in Starr's Point and that is where he and Darlene raised their family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. As a young man, he worked on a farm and he maintained a life-long interest in agriculture. He enjoyed driving around the local countryside and watching the crops grow from planting time to harvest. He took pleasure in growing his own garden and great pride in his home and property. He loved to drive and travel. He worked for various trucking companies and owned his own truck for many years, hauling across Canada and into the United States. In recent years he and Darlene delivered the weekly flyers and were spare mail drivers for Canada Post in Canning and Centreville. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Darlene McBay; two daughters, Betty Jean (Tim) Harper and Shelley (Robert) Hill, both of Centreville; four sons, Kevin (Amanda), Grand Prairie; Kendall (Lorelee), Edmonton; Karl (Annette), Hatchett Lake; Kristopher (Loreen), Kentville; two sisters, Joan (George) Woolaver, Bedford; Joyce Dunham, Centreville; 10 grandchildren, Elisha Harper, Joseph Harper, Nick Hill, Sarah Hill, Katelynn Keddy, Caleb Keddy, Lynkinn Keddy, Montana Keddy, Mila Keddy and Sasha Keddy. He will be missed by his dog, Emma. He was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Keddy. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Elizabeth Johnson officiating. Family flowers only.
