(June 26, 1917- May 30, 2014) - Passed away after a short illness at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Friday May 30th in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Cyril "Syd" (1966) and daughter Constance Pearcey (2012). Leaving to mourn Son Cyril (Debbie); daughters: Brenda (Fred Hicks), and Susan (David Buffett); son-in-law Ken Pearcey; sister-in-law Ena Quick; eleven grandchildren: Hilary, Amy, Matthew (Genevieve), Ian (Jill), Andrew, Geoffrey (Nicole), Jennifer, Kathyrn (Peter), Mark, Jane (Malcolm), and Heather; five great grandchildren: Rebecca, Kyle, Carter, Thea, and Daxton, a large number of nieces and nephews, and very special neighbours Ralph, Millicent, and Lorraine Day. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday June 1st and Monday June 2nd from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held from The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday June 3rd at 2pm, interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations in her memory may be made to VOWR or The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Endowment Fund.
