WILSON, LAURIE LEE - The unexpected passing of Laurie Lee Wilson, wife of Lee Wilson of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on November 29, 1962 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Clarence and Diane Austin. Laurie graduated from West Kings High School and then went to Miss Murphy’s Business School in Halifax, NS, then on to graduate as an L.P.N. from Dartmouth Community College. She moved to Fredericton in 1992 to live with her grandmother and met her husband Lee in 1994 and decided to make her home in Fredericton. She was currently working as an L.P.N. at the York Care Center. Laurie also did volunteer work at the Marysville Elementary and Devon Middle School. In addition to her husband and parents, Laurie is survived by her daughter, Erin Wilson of Calgary, AB, daughter, Abby Wilson and son, Ian Wilson both of Fredericton, NB; mother-in-law, Leona Wilson of Fredericton, NB; aunt and uncle, David (Evelyn) Austin; cousins, Melanie and Chris, and second cousin, Maddox of Winnipeg, MN; several aunts, uncles and their families in Granby, QC, with special mention of Laurie’s grandfather, Paul Hade and great aunt, Lise; extended family and friends. Laurie was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Gertrude Best; maternal grandfather, Emery Best; paternal grandmother, Gwen (Austin) Curtis, and paternal grandfather, Earsel Austin.
There will be no visitation; a Funeral Service will be held at the Crosspoint Church on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2 pm with Pastor Mark Brewer officiating. No flowers by request of the family, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Fredericton SPCA. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
