Before his retirement, Allan worked as a millwright at Repap Enterprises, as well as being employed at other local mills during his career. A loving and caring husband to Roberta, he was also devoted to his children and grandchildren. His love for the great outdoors inspired him to become an avid gardener, fisherman, and hunter.
