It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Raymond O'Neil at home on Friday, May 30, 2014.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of Ernest and Gwen (Musgrave) O'Neil.
Raymond was employed at servicom in Sydney. He enjoyed comic books, drawing, watching his favourite hockey team, the New York Rangers. He enjoyed collecting memorabilia from Star Wars and Transformers.
Raymond is survived by his parents, brother, Leonard Alexander 'Sandy', St. John's, N.L., grandfather, Wilfred Pentecost, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many close friends.
Raymond was predeceased by his grandparents, Leonard and Martha Musgrave and Mildred (O'Neil) Pentecost.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with a celebration of life to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
