WOODWORTH (PRICE), VIOLA MAE - The greatest storyteller to ever live, Viola Mae (Price) Woodworth passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the age of 66 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Vi passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late Colleen M. (Stewart) and late Albert M. Price. Upon graduating from Fredericton High School she attended St. Thomas University concentrating in arts focusing on business and Canadian law. Vi pursued her business interest in Fort Hood, Texas that continued on to her successful endeavors in operating Klondike Stoves (Kingston, ON.), Chetwynd Dental Practice (Chetwynd, BC.), and Putting on the Glitz Jewelry Store (Chetwynd, BC.). Vi was a courageous woman who faced all challenges in her life with a smile and optimistic heart. She touched all people who encountered her kind ways and generosity. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a firm believer in the power of hope and prayer. A devoted Christian and hard working businesswoman. Vi and her late husband, Dr. (Major) Ronald W. F. Woodworth shared various adventures and built their lives through hard work, compassion and family. They were active supporters of their local community and various charities. Surviving are her daughters Vicki Woodworth (Michael Smith), Cindy Woodworth and Jamie Woodworth, eight grandchildren Bernadette, Caleb, Elijah, Elisha,Yoni, Selah, Jesse and Alex. Predeceased by her husband and grandson Talitha-Cumi. The family would like to give special thanks to the following medical professionals: Dr. K. Srinivasan, Dr. P. Bryden, Dr. S. Raza and oncology nurse Elaine.
Vi’s Celebration of Life service will be held at the Morning Gate Church (74 Morning Gate Drive,) at 3 pm on Wednesday June 11, 2014 with Rev Deborah MacDonald officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
