It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of James Henry Ford Moulton, 75, of Georges River.
Ford passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the Northside General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Born in North Sydney on Oct. 28, 1938, Ford was the only child of the late James and Georgina (Ford) Moulton.
He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and friend.
For 35 years he was employed as a steward on the Marine Atlantic vessels where he enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends. He was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church, North Sydney. Ford spent many years at his home in Georges River with his family and friends.
Ford is survived by his wife Edith (Thomas) Moulton, his daughter Dinah (Moulton) McNeil and son-in-law Kris McNeil. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Malida Thomas and brother-in-law Wayne Thomas.
Besides his parents, Ford was predeceased by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff on 4West, Palliative Care at the Northside General Hospital for their care.
In keeping with Ford’s wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
Memorial donations in memory of Ford may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
