Harry Farrell

FARRELL, HARRY - Harry Farrell, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (DECRH) with his wife, Barbara (Welsh) Farrell, and his devoted daughters Kim Colpitts (Mark), Karen Paul and Krista Randall (Ian) at his side. In addition to his wife and daughters, Harry is survived by his grandchildren who were inspirations and sources of pride and joy in his life – Dayle, Ryan, Lauryn, Alyson, John, Nicole, Claire and Emma. Poppy was their hero and he was their biggest fan. He is also survived by one sister, Grace Keats of Riverview, one brother Pierce Farrell of Bishop’s Falls, NF and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Patrick and Pearl (Thistle) Farrell as well as sister Joyce Cochrane and brother Jim Farrell. Born in Clark’s Head, Newfoundland, Harry spent his early years in Bishops Falls. He moved to Moncton, NB in 1964 calling Upper Coverdale home for 34 years, where he owned and operated Coverdale Furniture Refinishing and Upholstery. Harry was a private and proud man whose love of family, outdoors, gardening, and yard sale-ing were only matched by his wit, charm and ability to befriend anyone. Never at a loss for words, he loved a good joke and the opportunity to share it. He was extremely hard working and compassionate. These qualities showed in every aspect of his life and are traits he instilled in his children and grandchildren. Our family wish to acknowledge and thank the staff at the DECRH Intensive Care Unit. No words can describe how grateful we are for your compassion, tireless efforts and exceptional care.
By Harry’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home www.bishopsfuneralhome.com. Donations may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
