SCOTT, William Isaac, 69, East Jordan, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point, with his family by his side. Born at Benham’s Rd., East Jordan, he was a son of the late Maynard and Matilda (Wamback) Scott. Bill spent his career as a hard working fisherman, starting at the young age of 15 and became the captain of several draggers. He had a love of horses in his younger years and owned several in his early 20’s. Bill had a big heart under his gruff exterior and received great enjoyment from aggravating his children, and in later years his grandchildren. He enjoyed spontaneous weekend drives with his family when he was younger. As he grew older, he spent more time at home and enjoyed his time with “chester” (field that is). He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Lynn (MacKenzie), just shy of their 50th Anniversary; daughters, Wanda Buchanan (Fred Perry), Port Saxon; Wendy (Bruce Quinlan, Upper Northfield and son, Troy (Deanna), Nine Mile River; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan, Liam, Abby, Keenan, Landon, Matthew and Makenna; brothers, Ivan (Joy), Bridgewater; Donald (Paulette), East Jordan; sisters, Janet (Ken) Mattatall, Jordan Falls; Martha “Cookie” Mattatall (Ralph), Port Clyde; sisters-in-law, June Wamback and Dale Scott, both of East Jordan; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Maynard Scott and Ken Wamback. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Shelburne where the funeral service will take place on Friday, June 13 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Burial in Lake John Cemetery.
