It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Florence May Turrett announce her peaceful passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the age of 74 years. She was predeceased by ­husband, Leamon Howard Prince and son, Allen Joseph Turrett. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious ­memories, her children: Madonna (Andy) Tincello, Wilson (Veta) Turrett, Norma (Reuben) Young, Theresa (Ivan) Young, Hector (Sherry) Turrett, Leonard (Sandra) Turrett, Philomena (Jerry) Simon, Joan (Bradley) Quigley, Ann Tourout, David (Patsy) Tourout, Victoria (Mark) Beck, Sandra (Junior) Turrett, Keith (Angela) Turrett, Dale Turrett (Shawn Saunders) and Gus (Chrissy) Turrett; stepchildren: Diane (Chuck) Yetman and Jason (Nicole) Prince; as well as a large circle of sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 and continuing from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Parish in Lourdes on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, from where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Patry officiating. Interment will follow from the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Three Rock Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
