It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myles Brake announce his passing at the Health Sciences Complex in St. John’s on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the age of 58 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara; children: Kelly Pevie (Keith), Trout River, Carla Brake (Brian Seaward), Pasadena, Stephen Brake, Meadows and Laura Brake (Renee Martineau), St. John’s; grandchildren: Lucas Brake-Seaward, Andy Brake-Seaward, Jorja Pevie and Morgan Pevie; siblings: Allan Brake (Joyceanne), Hayward Brake (Verna), Weldon Brake, Cassie March, Warren Brake (Sylvia), Darryl Brake (Joanne), Delphine Brake, Ester Brake and Minnie Lancaster (Bud); sister-in-law, Irene Brake; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Jessie and Stanley Brake; sisters: Joan Elliott and Jubilee Brake; brother, Samuel Brake and his mother and father-in-law, Lucy & Harry Lanning. Friends may visit Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Meadows on Saturday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer and Rev. Allan Brake officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A special thank you to all the staff, nurses and doctors at ICU, WMRH in Corner Brook and ICU/CCU and CICU at the Health Sciences Complex in St. John’s. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook.
