BAILLARGEON, ADRIEN - Today we announce the passing of a wonderful man Baillargeon, Adrien 80 years of age of Springhill, N.S. passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on Thursday, June 12th at All Saints Hospital in Springhill. Born in Tecumseh, Ontario, he was the son of Francois and Louise (Janisse) Baillargeon of Tecumseh, Ontario. He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Lucien both of Windsor, Ontario. He leaves behind his wife, Mary Dee MacPherson, his three children, David (Diane), Christine Moorehouse and Kathy Baillargeon, his brother Leo, his step-children, Tony Schaschl (Jan Bailey), Kim Schaschl (Charley Atkinson), his grandchildren, Rebecca, Becky and Richelle Baillargeon, Madison and Zoe Moorehouse, Peter and David Fowler and Connor Schaschl. Adrien served in the RCAF from 1952 to 1981 where he reached the rank of Major, then transferred to the Correctional Services of Canada retiring in 1996 as Regional Manager of Technical Services. He had a profound sense of civic duty, and was an active volunteer for many organizations. Adrien loved his family, enjoyed many very close friendships and appreciated every moment he spent with Mary Dee, especially at their cottage by the sea in Pugwash.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Monday, June 16th at the Funeral Home, followed immediately at 3:00 pm by a memorial service. Donations in his memory can be made to Palliative Care of Cumberland County, VON or the charity of one’s choice.
