The death occurred at home surrounded by his family at Pleasant View on Wednesday June 11, 2014 of Frederick (Freddie) Doucette aged 80 years. Husband of the late Joan (Gallant) Doucette. He was born in Pleasant View on July 22, 1933, the son of the late Meddie and Lucy Doucette. Dear father to Carl (Heather) Doucette, Pleasant View; (late Louis); Carolyn (Hans) Wicki Doucette; Nine Mile Creek; Derek Doucette, San Diego, California; Denise (Wade) Robinson, Searletown and Monique Doucette (Wade Thibodeau), Pleasant View. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Natasha and Lynn Ann Doucette, Santana & Mariah Wedge, Julie Robertson, Madelyn Doucette and Craig Thibodeau. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Edna (late Andrew) Jones, Summerside; (late Lawrence) Dolores Doucette, Pleasant View; Wilfred (Eileen) Doucette, Summerside; Arthur (Ada) Doucette, Pleasant View; Evelyn (late Ronald) Myers, Pleasant View; Lucille (Francis) Richard, St. Louis and (late Melvin) Julia Doucette, Pleasant View. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3-4:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday June 17 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m. by Rev. Danny Wilson. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
