Condran, Marie, 75, of Antigonish and formerly of Kentville passed away on June 14, 2014, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Raised in Mulgrave, she was a daughter of the late Ted and Josie (Kelly) Chisholm. Marie graduated from Normal College in Truro and taught in the Kentville area. She later worked at the King's County Municipal office. She spent many days at the hockey arenas and baseball diamonds around the province. She was a person of immense faith and was avidly involved in hobby crafts. Her spirit was a guiding light for her family and friends and everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George, children, Glen (Allison), Ottawa, Linda (Dave) Hubley, Brampton, Ont., Cliff (Shelly Fletcher), Toronto, and Gary (Nancy Gardiner), Ottawa; grandchildren, Erin, Jason, Amanda, Lauren, Hayden, Wesley, Georgia, and Garrison; great-grandchildren, Travis and Kenzie; siblings, Colin Chisholm, Glenda Campbell, Eleanor Smith, Ellen MacDonald, Theodore Chisholm, and Daniel Chisholm. Predeceased by a brother, Donald, and a sister, Muriel, in infancy. Visitation was held Monday, June 16 in the C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, June 17 at 11:00am in St. Ninian Cathedral, Antigonish, with Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding.
