CORMIER, LORRAINE - Lorraine Cormier, 100, formerly of Edgett Avenue in Moncton and Auberge du Soleil in Dieppe, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Villa Providence in Shédiac. Born on June 20, 1913 in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Amédée and Alma (Melanson) Richard. She is survived by four children: Lillian Breau (Oscar) of Dartmouth, Gerald "Gerry" (Corinne) of Dieppe and George and Maurice (Nola), both of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; her sister, Violette; and two brothers: Roméo and Alonzo.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours held Saturday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
