Blanche Belinda Biggin

It is with heavy hearts that the families of Blanche Belinda Biggin (nee Guinchard) announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 67 years married, Leonard; children Rufus (Bernice), Gloria, Barry (Shirley), and Glenda (Ernest Payne); grandchildren Marsha (Albert), Keith (Patricia), Shelley (Baxter), Guy (Terri), Violet (B.J.), Wavey (Brent), Wendy (Phil), Jerilee (Pete), Leonard (Melissa), Jada (Donnie), Lynette (Joey) and Deena (Billy); great-grandchildren D.J., Kayle, Nicholas, Madison, Ryan, Heather, Callan, Cameron, Kodee, Sarah, Brandon, Shae, Sydnee, and Sierra; her siblings, Cornelius (Rella), Lawrence (Dorcas), David, Joyce (Herb), Nora (Isaac), Ina (John), George (Evelyn), Bruce, and Nancy (Gray). She also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Blanche was predeceased by her parents Prudence and Rufus Guinchard, her in-laws Hannah and Cornelius Biggin, brothers Hayward, Cornelius, Lawrence, David and George, brothers-in-law Tom (Hannah), Charlie (Medora), Isaac (Marion), Cornelius (Freda), Herb Plowman and Isaac Brown, sisters-in-law Elsie (James) and William, Hannah (Tom) and Esme (Howard). The family received family and friends at Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniel’s Harbour on Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m. with Rt. Rev. Leonard Whitten officiating. Burial followed at the family plot of the church cemetery in Daniel’s Harbour.
