RICHARDSON, ROBERT "BOB" C. - Robert “Bob” C. Richardson, 60, of Moncton, with his loving family by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Born in Moncton he is the son of Jean (Renton) Richardson of Moncton and the late Gordon Richardson (October 2010). Bob loved his morning coffee and reading his paper. He enjoyed watching his favorite television programs with his daughter. He also enjoyed social gatherings as he was always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Bob was employed by Kent Building Supplies (Trinity) in Moncton as the plumbing department supervisor and store key holder for the last 14 years. Prior to this, Bob was also employed by Shoppers Drug Mart. He started in 1974 on the merchandising crew, planning and implementing renovations to Lord Drugs Stores to Shoppers Drug Mart standards. He then took on the job of front store manager on Barrington Street and Bedford Place Mall in Nova Scotia. He briefly worked for Lawton’s Drugs in Halifax as merchandiser but soon after returned to Shoppers Drug Mart. For the next 18 years, he continued on to work as a Corporate Brands sales coordinator throughout the Atlantic region with a special passion for Newfoundland. A special thank you goes to ALL the Moncton Hospital Staff especially Dr. Harb and Dr. Mohammed of 6600 unit and all the oncology team, Dr. Morrison and the several specialists which provided Bob with only the best of care. In addition to his mother Jean, Bob will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of over 18 years, Vivian “Viv” (Doucet) Richardson and daughter Rachel, his pride and joy. Survived by his family Sharon Pitzel (Bob), Andrew Wojcicki (Jillian), Adam and Alex, Amy Wojcicki (Rob), Sandra Hardy (Phil), Steven and Michael. Also survived by his family-in-law Suzette Maillet (Thomas), Jacques, Joel Doucet (Elaine Deveau), Pierrette Boutin (Mario), Eric, Daniel and Simon, Dianne Doucet (Michel), Luc and Vincent.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Bob will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception following the Service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
