Cox, Eric Roy – Age 63, of Halifax, passed away peacefully, on June 20, 2014, in Q.E.11, V.G. Site, with family by his side.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Frank and Shirley (Morton) Cox.
Eric worked as a steamship checker with the longshoremen for many years. “Goat”, as he was affectionately known, will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his best friend, Michelle Ewins; daughter, Nicole (Derek) Saunders; grandson, Caleb; sister, Verta (Mel) Miller, her children, Sasha, Ashley, Rebecca, AnnaLyse; brother, Roger (Kathy), his children, Cindy, Jim, and Laura.
He was predeceased by his brother, Cyril.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m., in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. Everyone is welcome to a celebration of Eric’s life, on Tuesday from 4- 8 p.m., at 39 Matthews Drive, Stewiacke.
