Miranda Paul, 72 of 76 Tupsi Drive, Membertou, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Percy Woodrow and Mary (Johnston) Paul.
She was a member of St Anne’s Mission church, Membertou and for a number of years travelling with family to St. Anne De Beaupré. Brenda was very interested in and making traditional baskets. She worked as a seamstress in the United States for many years.
She is survived by daughters Carmina and Joanne; sons Edward and Joseph, all of the USA; brothers Nelson (Donna), Clark (Wanita), Conrad, Percy, Norman, George Batchelder, Billy Stowell; sister Mary Agnes (George) Elliott; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews and also by her godchild Krystal.
Brenda was predeceased by her son Clarence; sisters Marilyn, Charlene, Charmaine and Isabel and two sisters names Virginia, both in infancy.
Visitation for the late Miranda Paul started on Monday and continues today (Tuesday) at her residence at 76 Tupsi Drive, Membertou. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Anne Mission Church, Membertou with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment in Membertou Memorial Gardens.
