CORMIER, PAUL E. - Paul Cormier, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on September 11, 1929 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Edouard and Edna (Gallant) Cormier. Prior to his retirement, Paul was a Customs Officer for the Government of Canada in Moncton, Ottawa and Belgium. He enjoyed golfing, curling, fishing and music. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine (Melanson), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of the Palliative Care and 4A Units at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care provided to Paul.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
