Passed peacefully away at the age of 86 years at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony surrounded by wife Hazel and all his family, William Edward Genge of Flowers Cove (March 23, 1928-June 21, 2014). He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Hazel; children Patsy (Roland), Ivy (Roland), Harvey (Lisa), Elaine (John), Marjorie (Wycliffe), Dorcas (Nelson), Pamela (Peter), and Maxine (Cyril); 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Robert, parents Henry and Dorcas Genge, sisters Lillian Genge, Johanna Mitchelmore, Constance Way and Polly Whalen, brothers Garfield Genge and Isreal Genge. Visitation was held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Flowers Cove from where the family service took place at 7 p.m. on the Tuesday, June 24. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
