Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Wednesday, June 25th, in the presence of his family, at age 85. Predeceased by his wife Julia and his daughter Elizabeth Sparkes. Leaving to mourn his children: Barbara (Tex), Lawrence (Isabelle), Wayne (Mary), June (Bob), Peter, Donna, and Fred (Dana); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Wilson; sister Olive; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, June 26th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm; and on Friday, June 27th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, June 28th, at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. No flowers by request.
