Trenton - George Wayne “Butch” Duguay, age 72, of Trenton, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 28, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Angus and Lillian (White) Duguay. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ginette (Roussy); daughter, Denise (David) Wilson, Pictou; son, Chris (Charity), New Glasgow; special loves of his life, grandchildren: Harmony and Lindsey Wilson; Layla and Marley Duguay; sister, Marlene MacGillivray, Trenton. He was retired from Hawker Siddeley Ltd. In school, he played hockey and rugby, and later played softball, Gentleman’s hockey and umpired softball. He was very involved in coaching softball and hockey. He was an inductee to the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 2, in the Trenton Legion Annex, Main St., Trenton. At the request of the family, a private committal will take place in Christ the King Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County Diabetic Association or a charity of choice.
