PARK- Nina Sandra age 66 of Yarmouth , loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all died peacefully June 27,2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Lark Harbour, NFLD she was the daughter of Effie (Smith) Pearce and the late Hector Pearce . As well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by son-in-law Albert Campbell Jr. Nina was loved by all who knew her. She always had a smile and a kind word. She was a homemaker all her life. An exceptional cook who took great pride in looking after her family. Nina had many hobbies over the years including knitting, crocheting, bingo and as of late she enjoyed her computer and loved keeping up with her Facebook friends and family. She loved her flowers in the summertime. Although Nina enjoyed the comfort of her own home, she always took time for anyone who came to visit her, mostly by putting on the kettle so they could have a coffee and a yarn. Nina had a unique way of making people feel better about things and making them laugh no matter what the situation. Throughout her own illness she always had courage and if you came to visit no matter what time (even during her illness) and were crying tears of sadness she did her best to make sure you were crying with laughter by the time you left. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweenys Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. Visitation took place Tuesday, July 1st from 7-9pm with prayers at 8pm. A celebration of Nina’s life was held Wednesday July 2nd at 2pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Helen Chandler officiating. Interment was in the Cheboque Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
